Terms of Service
Last updated October 12, 2026PrivacyTerms
The short version
- reviewpaper.ai produces simulated peer reviews with AI. They can be wrong and say nothing certain about any real decision.
- You keep all rights to your papers and to what we generate for you.
- Only upload papers you are allowed to share. As a reviewer, follow your venue's rules on LLMs and confidentiality.
- Credits pay for review runs. They don't expire while your account is open, but they can't be transferred or cashed out.
- Payments and refunds go through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record.
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Apoorv Saxena, an individual based in India (“we”, “us”), who operates reviewpaper.ai. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use reviewpaper.ai for an organization, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.
You must be at least 16 to use reviewpaper.ai, and if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian's consent.
The service
You upload a paper as a PDF and choose a venue and a mode. In author mode we generate several simulated reviews in that venue's format, an area-chair style meta-review, a score outlook, a fix list and a checklist. In reviewer mode we generate a draft review and notes to help you review a paper assigned to you. You can also chat with an assistant about the paper. Each review point is linked to the passage it refers to.
We may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering the service altogether, we will give reasonable notice so you can download your work.
AI output is not a real review
- Reviews, scores, outlooks and chat answers are generated by AI models. They are simulations meant as a writing and preparation aid. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or inconsistent, may misread your paper, and may cite related work that is wrong or irrelevant.
- A score outlook or decision estimate is not a prediction you can rely on. We do not guarantee acceptance at any venue, and real decisions depend on reviewers, rebuttals and chairs we know nothing about.
- reviewpaper.ai is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any conference, journal or publisher. Venue names are used only to describe the review formats we model.
- Check anything important yourself before you act on it.
Your responsibilities
- Only upload papers you are authorized to share with us and with the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. Don't upload material you received under a confidentiality obligation unless that obligation allows it.
- Reviewer mode: if you are reviewing someone else's submission, you are the reviewer of record. You must follow your venue's policy on using LLMs and its confidentiality rules. Many venues forbid uploading submissions to third-party AI tools; if yours does, don't use reviewpaper.ai for that paper. Verify and rewrite any draft in your own judgment before you submit it.
- Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Comply with the law and with any rules that apply to you, including your institution's.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- upload content that infringes others' rights, is unlawful, or contains malware;
- use the service to harass, deceive or impersonate others, or to produce fraudulent reviews;
- try to get around credits, rate limits or access controls, or access other users' data;
- scrape, overload, reverse engineer or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product;
- use the output in ways that break the usage policies of our AI providers.
Credits, subscriptions and payments
- Review runs cost credits. Current prices per run: Standard 1 credit, Deep 2 credits, Max 6 credits, in either mode. Chat on your own papers is free within a daily limit. New accounts get free starter credits.
- You can buy credit packs (5 credits per pack) or subscribe to Pro, which adds 12 credits at the start of each billing period. Current prices are on the pricing page.
- Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and are only usable on reviewpaper.ai. They don't expire while your account is open, and are lost when your account is deleted.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals; credits already granted stay on your balance, and no new monthly credits are added once the subscription ends.
- If a review run fails, its credits are returned to your balance automatically.
- Referral credits: when someone signs up with your invite link and completes their first review, they get 5 and you get 5 credits, up to a monthly limit. Referral credits are promotional: they have no cash value, aren't refundable or transferable, and we may withhold or remove them, or end the program, if we see abuse (for example self-referrals or duplicate accounts).
- We may change prices or credit costs for future purchases and runs. Changes never affect credits you already have, and subscription price changes apply from your next billing period after notice.
Payments and refunds
Purchases are sold and processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Dodo is the seller of record for your purchase, handles payment processing, calculates and collects applicable taxes, and issues invoices. Dodo's own terms also apply to your purchase.
If something went wrong with a purchase, email support@reviewpaper.ai. We look at refund requests case by case, especially for unused credits, and approved refunds are issued through Dodo to your original payment method. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights you have under consumer law.
Your content and our service
- You keep all rights to the papers you upload and to the reviews, drafts and chat answers generated for you. We claim no ownership of them.
- You give us permission to store, process and send your content to our service providers only as needed to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't use your papers to train AI models.
- The reviewpaper.ai software, design, venue guides and brand belong to Apoorv Saxena. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the service.
- If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any output is accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, opportunities or data, or for decisions made by any venue, reviewer or chair. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using reviewpaper.ai at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@reviewpaper.ai. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or others at risk, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. If we close your account without cause, we will refund unused purchased credits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Before going to court, please email us so we can try to resolve it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can stop using it and ask us to delete your account.
